DAN DIVING FIRST AID COURSES

The Divers Alert Network is a non-profit making world-wide organisation, tasked primarily with gathering statistics of diver injuries, researching these injuries and hence using this knowledge to make us all better able to avoid them! Often the result of this research prompts them to offer training programs, and hence they are now a training provider as well.

Their courses often offer an element of liability protection to the provider, a unique advantage not normally available in other diving first aid programs.

DAN membership(optional) also offers excellent personal and professional liability insurance at a very reasonable price, as well as a quarterly magazine, access to diving medical information, and experts, a 24 hour emergency hotline and numerous other benefits.

1. DAN Oxygen administration - Most scuba incidents require the use of 02 as the primary first aid. This course teaches you when and how to use it. A pre requisite for every diver. Land based.

2. DAN Advanced Oxygen provider - A bolt on addition to the above course, using two rescuer CPR, manually triggered demand valves (MTV's) and bag/mask combinations. Ideal for the serious diver/dive professional wanting the best in recreational diver life support training.

DAN Hazardous Marine Life Injury First Aid Provider - a stand alone course covering the types of injuries commonly experienced by people in the water, the animals that cause these injuries, how to avoid them and how to treat them if they occur!! Planning a warm water holiday-an ideal course to teach you what to avoid!
