Capernwray Dive School
Terms and Conditions
Please ensure you read and understand the following prior to committing on a course. If you have any queries, please ask your instructor or contact the centre (mail us)
1. All course fees must be paid in full before certification will be issued. They can be paid at any time during the course, and in part payment if required.
2. The fees paid are in payment for training, not qualification. If for any reason, certification is withheld, the full course fee payable still applies. Reason for this could include (amongst others):
- Non-attendance at scheduled sessions
- Lack of completion of independent study sessions
- Not reaching a required standard during training
- Cancellation (by the student) of the course for any reasonably foreseeable reason.
- Misrepresenting pre requisite experience or training requirements when enrolling on a course.
Whenever possible in these cases, Capernwray Dive School will arrange for the completion of courses, however, any additional financial cost will be borne by the student.
3. After booking, deposits are valid for one year. After this, they will be forfeit and the full charges apply. Similarly, if courses have not been commenced within six months of the deposit being paid, any price increase in the advertised cost of the course must be borne by the student.
4. We reserve the right to charge a fee of up to £100 for the non-attendance of pre-arranged courses/training sessions, or courses/sessions cancelled within 48 hours before the course/sessions agreed commencement time. This fee would be in addition to any course fees. Obviously any non-foreseeable medical or family emergency would be excluded from this clause.
5. For those courses where students are required to supply their own equipment, it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the equipment is serviceable and fit for purpose. Capernwray can accept no liability for equipment failure or its consequences when the equipment is not Capernwray Dive School or Capernwray Gear Hire equipment.
6. Transport to and from training sessions is the responsibility of the student.
7. A parent or guardian must supervise all people under the age of 18 years or guardian at all times. Capernwray Diving can accept no responsibility for minors unaccompanied by a parent or guardian.
8. All vehicles and belongings are the sole responsibility of their owners. Capernwray can accept no liability for loss or damage of property, and security of possessions and vehicles remain the sole responsibility of the owner or driver.
